Clever little monkeys.
This week, our little monkeys showed just how confident they have become in PE, as they climbed up ladders and clambered through hoops. Things are looking good for this year's sports day!
Investigating capacity.
In maths, the children have been learning about capacity. They investigated how much water a variety of containers could hold and how many cubes could fit into their own shoe. There was a link here with The Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe- it wasn't entirely random! (Just in case you were wondering.) Both lessons involved the children first estimating and then recording their results. It is great to see that many of the children can now write numbers as well as letters. Keep practising guys!
Shabbat Shalom.
To round off a very busy week, the children enjoyed a Shabbat meal. The children enjoyed learning about Judaism and exploring the meaning behind artefacts used in this special celebration. We have enjoyed several RE topics so far this year with the theme of celebration-birthdays, Christmas and Easter. It is interesting to contrast Christian celebrations with another religion and enables the children to appreciate similarities and differences between their own families and traditions, and those of others.
Have a lovely half term everyone!
