The Queen's birthday.

We enjoyed celebrating this special occasion, here in Foundation Stage. The children took part in a variety of Royal themed activities, including marching practise, making flags, writing letters to the queen, colouring corgis, singing the national anthem,  making crowns, icing biscuits and taking part in a royal afternoon tea party.  Unfortunately the Queen was unable to attend.

Welcome to the Summer term!

We began our new topic on growing with the traditional tale of Jack and the Beanstalk.  The children enjoyed hearing the story and making their own beanstalks.

A giant size seed packet as well as a tiny one were found in the classroom and the children chose which they would like to plant and made predictions as to what they think their seed will grow into.

In forest school, the children continued to learn about symmetry as they made symmetrical pictures using plants and natural materials.
