Big Ted's birthday!
We concluded our 'all about me' topic this week, by having a final look at our chatter packs from home. The children really enjoyed sharing their photos and talking about their families and hobbies.
During PE lessons, the children explored how to make their bodies move in different ways.
We thought about how we change as we get older, and talked about how different families celebrate getting older. It just so happened that our class teddy bear was soon to be 5, so we decided to throw him a birthday party! The children made cards and in our computer lesson, they designed their ideal birthday cake. There was a lot to do to get ready for a party!
The children baked teddy shaped biscuits.
They sent invitations to each other and decorated the classrooms. Great fun was had on the day of Big Ted's birthday party!
After Ted had blown out the candle
and opened his present
we played musical statues and musical bumps.
There are some great dancers in Year R!
Then the children sat down to eat their biscuits and jelly.
The afternoon ended with a game of pass the parcel.
What a lovely way to end a brilliant half term! Big Ted looks worn out!
A FINAL REMINDER!
Forest school will start on the first day back. All children will need wellies and a waterproof coat, please. It can get muddy!
