Our Alien celebration picnic!

As part of our Religious Education this term, we have been thinking about celebrations.  we decided to  celebrate our first half term at school, all the new friends we have met and the new skills we have learned.

After reading QPootle5 by Nick Butterworth, we decided to have our own alien picnic.

We made some invitations........

And designed some alien party cakes.............

We made rockets, satellites and space stations decorations..................

As well as alien hats........................................

We practised our moon walking...........................

We decided to have exactly the same food as the aliens in the story.  Some of it we could buy, and some things we had to make ourselves.  Like star biscuits.............................

Delta wing sandwiches........................................

And icetroid cakes.................................

Our alien picnic was delicious!

What a wonderful way to celebrate our first few weeks at school!

Sorting and slithering.

This week in Maths, we have been sorting pictures and objects according to their size.

In PE, we have been practising moving in a variety of different ways, including slithering.

Here are some photos of some of the other activities we have enjoyed this week...........................................
