Happy birthday to Big Ted!

In RE this week, we have been thinking about celebrations.  With Big Ted's birthday coming up, it was the ideal opportunity to think about how we all celebrate our birthdays and what makes the day so special.

We collected leaves to decorate party hats.

 We designed birthday cakes.

We made cards and gifts for Big Ted and then we had a party!

A lovely end to the children's first half term in school!

The Tiger who Came To Tea.

In preparation for our Macmillan tea party, we read The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and held our own tea parties in the classroom.  The children practised tea party etiquette and showed off their lovely manners.  Mrs.Perry dressed up as a tiger but has forbidden any pictures to be published on this blog!

We have begun lessons in the computer suite.  This week we practised typing our names, which is not as easy as it looks.  Please help your children by practising this skill at home.

Meanwhile, outside, there was time to get mucky in the mud kitchen.  The children enjoyed making mud pies and all kinds of revolting potions!

In forest school this week, we extended our work on feelings, by making faces out of natural materials.
