Down at the farm.

We all had a great day out  at Longdown Dairy Farm.  The children enjoyed feeding the animals and learning more about how the farmer looks after them.

 

 

 

 

 



 

Role play fun.

The children have been having lots of fun playing in the vet's corner role play this week.  They have been looking after our sick animals, reading care instructions and writing down appointments.

 

 

 

Last week in maths, the children learned how to tell the time and have continued to practise this skill with their own clocks and watches.  Please continue to ask your child to tell you the time on the hour at home!

 

 

 

 

This week in maths, we have been learning about 3D shapes.  We learned the names of some of the shapes and build towers, predicting which would be the best shapes to use before we began.  Then we made a tally chart of the shapes we had used.  We also went on a shape walk around school to see what shapes we could find in our environment.

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

Our pet puppets continue to be popular with the children, and several shows have been put on this week!

 

 

Drawing with chalks was great fun too!

 

 

Finally, on Friday we made the most of the sunshine by playing on the play trail.
