Welly wanging.

In Forest School this week, the children have been thinking about distance.  The children have been using vocabulary such as longer, shorter, near and far.  They had great fun throwing their wellies!



Shake it!

We have been learning about texture of sound in our music lessons.  We made our own music shakers, filled with either dried spaghetti, pulses or rice. We  used them in our lesson this week and practised playing them in various different ways.



Making butter.

We found out about where milk from.  Then we thought about what  milk can be used to make.   WE decided to make some butter.  We had to shake the milk for a long time!





We saw how the curd and whey separated.  Once we had discarded the whey, we added a little salt to make our butter tasty.

And then we ate it!  Delicious!
