J for jelly.................

The children are cracking on with Jolly Phonics.  This week we had jelly as we learned the sound 'j'.  Please continue to help your children to practise their sounds at home.

We went for a walk around Hythe to take a look at different types of buildings and the materials used to build them.

In forest schools, the children were challenged to build a nest for our toy owl.  It wasn't as easy as they thought it would be, as they had to pretend to be birds using their beaks,  and could only use tweezers to pick up sticks and leaves.

The children have been enjoying the builders' role play.  They have been busy dressing up, mixing sand and building walls.
