Happy New Year!

Welcome back to school.  It sounds as though all our children had a super holiday.  We've had a busy three days.  We got straight back in the swing of phonics and learned two new sounds-h and b.  In maths, we looked at estimating, and talked about how builders estimate numbers and quantities before beginning a job. Friday was Healthy Hythe Day, and the children enjoyed finding out more about healthy foods and trying a variety of fruit...including some they hadn't all tried before, like pomegranate and dragon fruit.

We walked around the school grounds to look for different types of shelters and came across a mysterious pile of straw and three bowls.  We have yet to work out where they came from....

The children were excited to find a box of building equipment and tools, and have been busy fixing all manner of things in our classrooms.  If you would like our team of  builders to come to your house and carry out repairs, please ask your teacher for a quote.
